Chat with strangers in Singapore

Chat with Strangers in Singapore Singlish Welcome, No Camera

Singapore is small enough that a stranger on a webcam might turn out to be your colleague, your neighbour or someone from your old school. Chitmet takes the camera out: a private text chat or voice call with a random person, matched by interests, with no account and no phone number. Set the country to Singapore and you are talking in seconds. Free, 18+.

Free, including the country and language filters · no sign-up · text and audio only — never video · 18+ · Updated

Singapore filter

Set the country to Singapore to meet people on SGT, or open it up to Malaysia, the Philippines, Indonesia and the rest of the region.

All four languages

English, Chinese, Malay and Tamil are all in the language filter. Singlish needs no setting — just type, can.

Properly anonymous

The other person sees your show name and gender, plus your country if you choose to show it. Your email and number are never shared.

No camera, ever

Text and voice only. Nobody can recognise you from a screen grab.

Voice when both agree

A text chat becomes a browser voice call only when both people accept. Your number stays private.

Moderated, 18+

Skip, Report and Block in every chat, automated spam and scam-link checks, and human moderators who review reports.

Busiest hours

10 pm – 1 am SGT with the Singapore filter on. Switch the country to Anywhere and someone is online at every hour.

Why anonymity matters more in a small city

In a city of a few million people, packed into the same MRT lines, hawker centres and HDB blocks, the chance of bumping into someone you know is real. On a webcam site that means a stranger might not stay a stranger for long. Chitmet has no camera, so people see the show name you choose and your gender — never your face.

That makes it easier to say what you actually think — about work, family, NS, exams, relationships or the future — to someone who has no idea who you are. It is a good place to unwind after long hours, practise a language, or have a conversation that has nothing to do with your usual circle.

When Singapore is online

With the Singapore filter on, the busiest hours are roughly 10 pm to 1 am SGT — after work, after dinner, after the gym. Singapore shares its clock with Malaysia, the Philippines and Perth, and sits an hour ahead of Jakarta and Bangkok, so with the country set to Any country the regional queue stays busy through the evening.

If the Singapore-only queue is quiet, set the country filter to Preferred instead of Strict. Chitmet starts with Singapore and widens step by step while you wait, so you are not stuck looking at a search screen at 3 pm on a weekday.

Picking a language

English gives you the widest queue, in Singapore and beyond. Choose Chinese to meet Mandarin speakers in Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan and further afield; Malay for people across Singapore, Malaysia and Brunei; Tamil for Tamil speakers in Singapore, Malaysia, India and Sri Lanka.

Add interests — Food, Gaming, Anime, Fitness, Finance, Travel, Movies — and Chitmet shows what you share the moment you connect. There are conversation intents too, such as Deep Talk, Language Exchange and Late Night Chat, for when you already know what kind of conversation you want.

Keeping it safe

Photos and voice notes only come through after the other person allows media, so nobody receives an image they did not ask for. If a chat goes well, send a Keep in touch request; you only become friends if the other person accepts. If you hit Next too fast, Undo skip appears for a few seconds.

Be wary of anyone who pushes an investment tip, a crypto platform, a job that pays you to "like" videos, or a move to another app straight away — these are common scam scripts. Report and Block them. Automated checks catch spam and scam links in real time, and human moderators review reports. Chitmet is 18+ only.
