How we compared them
For each service we read its own website or app listing in late October and early November 2026 and noted the things that decide whether it works from Pakistan: does it need a camera, does it need an account or a phone number, can you find Urdu speakers or people in Pakistan, and what you have to pay for. Prices and features change; check the site before paying anything.
Disclosure: we make Chitmet, so we are not neutral. We have tried to describe every service fairly, including where it is the better choice, and the no-camera ones each have a side-by-side page.

No camera: the three voice-and-text services
These are the ones most people in Pakistan end up on, because nobody wants a webcam recording of their room going around on WhatsApp. All three run in the browser and need no account.
- Chitmet (chitmet.gg) — One-on-one text chat that either person can turn into an audio-only call when both accept. Set the language filter to Urdu or Punjabi and the country filter to Pakistan — or leave the country open to meet Pakistanis in the UAE, UK and Saudi Arabia. Roman Urdu works fine. Free interest, topic and mood matching with a Vibe Match score; Keep in Touch to add someone after a good chat; Skip, Report and Block in every chat, human moderators, 18+. Best for: talking in Urdu without a camera. Watch out for: the gender filter is Premium.
- TalkLive (talklive.app) — "Talk to strangers by voice or text": tap to call and the browser dials a random adult; text chat needs no microphone. Its free plan has unlimited calls, a gender filter, up to 2 preferred and 2 avoided countries, friends, daily streaks and a daily question, and it has a Pakistan page about Urdu voice chat. Premium is "not on sale" as of November 2026. Best for: voice calls with a streak to keep. Watch out for: an "Online Now" list shows people’s names, gender and country before you talk.
- HearMe Chat (hearme.chat) — Voice or text, one person at a time, no camera and no sign-up, with an Android app on Google Play. Every report is reviewed by a person; calls are not recorded except a 60-second clip when someone reports. Free accounts add friends and direct messages. Best for: people who want a moderation team and an app icon. Watch out for: the country filter and the gender filter are both Premium ($4.99–$9.99 a month).
Voice only, rooms, and video
Different shapes of the same wish.
- AirTalk (airtalk.live) — Random voice chat, running since 2022, with text added later; you can prefer or exclude countries, and its text chat offers icebreaker questions and blocks links at send. No language filter. Best for: a quick call with few decisions to make.
- Y99 (y99.in) — Public topic rooms open to guests: Random Chat, Singles, English Learning, Gaming, Music and dozens more, plus browser games and a shared whiteboard. Its room list includes voice and video rooms. Watch out for: everything in a room is public.
- Chatib (chatib.us) — Public chat rooms such as Singles, US, Music and College, with private chats and image sharing. Guests pick a username, gender, age and location. Best for: a room rather than a match.
- OmeTV (ome.tv) — Random video chat with country selection and built-in message translation; not connected to the original Omegle. Needs your camera.
- Azar (azarlive.com) — A face-to-face video app from Hyperconnect (Match Group) whose algorithm learns who you like talking to; gender and region filters cost Gems. Needs your camera.
Urdu, Roman Urdu and the time of day
Only one of the services above has Urdu in a language filter (Chitmet, with Punjabi alongside it); TalkLive has a Pakistan page about Urdu voice chat but lists no language filter on its pricing page; the rest match by country or by room. In practice most Pakistani chats are typed in Roman Urdu — "kya haal hai", "kahan se ho" — and voice calls go wherever the two of you take them, so a language filter mainly saves you from a first message that neither of you can read.
Timing matters more than people expect. TalkLive’s own Pakistan page says its busiest hours are 8 pm to 2 am PKT; on Chitmet the busiest hours are 9 pm to 2 am Indian time, which is 8:30 pm to 1:30 am in Pakistan. Open any of these sites at 3 pm and you will wait; open them at 11 pm and you will not.
Staying safe, and where to report in Pakistan
The scams are the same on every app: someone asks for an Easypaisa or JazzCash transfer, a "registration fee", an OTP, or moves you to WhatsApp and then threatens to share a screenshot or a recording. Never send money or a code to someone you met in a chat, never show your face on a video call with a stranger, and keep your number out of it — the no-camera services above exist for exactly this reason.
If someone harasses or blackmails you online, report them on the site first (Report and Block), keep screenshots, and report the crime to the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA), which took over the FIA’s Cybercrime Wing in April 2025. Its helpline is 1799, launched in June 2025.
