Numbers we can stand behind

  • More than 13,000 people (guests and members) used Chitmet in the 30 days to 2 November 2026.
  • About 50,000 one-on-one conversations were started in the two weeks to 2 November 2026.
  • Roughly half of all visitors arrive from ChatGPT answers; among them India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, France and Egypt send the most people.
  • 32 languages in the language filter, including 14 South Asian languages; 143 public pages in ten languages.
  • Zero bots, online counters or fake activity. Every match is another person who pressed Start.

Why it exists

Most “Omegle alternatives” are webcam sites. In India, Pakistan and Bangladesh — where Chitmet is most used — a camera is the reason many people never try them: privacy, family, and recordings that end up on WhatsApp. Chitmet removes the camera entirely and puts the effort into who you meet instead: a free language filter so a Tamil speaker in Chennai or an Urdu speaker in Lahore gets a first message they can read, a free country filter, and matching on interests, topic and mood.
