Who you meet in Kuwait
Kuwaitis are a minority in their own country — most residents came from India, Egypt, Bangladesh, the Philippines, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Syria to work. For Kuwaitis, the diwaniya has always been where conversation happens. For a lot of everyone else, the evening means a phone and a shared room.
Chitmet is a simple way to talk to someone new without leaving that room: one stranger at a time, matched on language and interests, in a private conversation nobody else can read. Keep in touch if it goes well; Skip if it does not.
When Kuwait is online
With the country set to Kuwait, about 10 pm to 1 am is when most people are free — and in summer, when the day is too hot for much else, a lot of life moves to the late evening. If the local queue is quiet, choose Preferred instead of Strict and Chitmet widens the search step by step while you wait.
Kuwait is on the same clock as Saudi Arabia and Qatar, an hour behind the UAE and Oman, two and a half hours behind India, and level with or an hour ahead of Egypt depending on the season.
Picking a language
Arabic matches you with Arabic speakers in Kuwait and, with the country left open, the rest of the Gulf, Egypt and the Levant — there is a full Arabic version of the site at /ar. English gives the widest queue.
Malayalam, Hindi, Urdu, Tamil, Bengali and Filipino are there for some of the biggest communities in Kuwait. Add interests — Sports, Movies, Music, Food, Cars, Business — and Chitmet shows what you share as soon as you connect.
Safety and scams
Your email and phone number are never shared, and calls are not recorded by Chitmet. Keep it respectful — local laws apply online too — and Report and Block anyone who does not.
Be careful with anyone who asks for money, a "processing fee" for a job or a visa transfer, your Civil ID or your bank details, or who wants to move the chat to another app straight away. Those are scam patterns. Chitmet never asks for payment to chat, and it is 18+ only.
