How the language filter works
Open chitmet.gg, tap Start Text Chat, then More filters → Language. Chitmet prefers people who picked the same language and, if nobody is waiting, widens the search so you still get a match quickly. You can combine it with the country filter — Punjabi in Canada, Malayalam in the Gulf, French in Québec — or leave the country on Anywhere to meet speakers of your language everywhere. Frequently asked questions
Does Chitmet translate messages?
No. The language filter matches you with people who picked the same language, so you both type in it. You can write in the native script or in Roman letters — Hinglish, Roman Urdu, Taglish are all common.
Which languages are in the filter?
