How random voice calls work

Press the phone button on the Chitmet hub to search for a voice match, or tap Call in any text chat. Allow the microphone when your browser asks, and you are connected directly. Calls use secure WebRTC audio, and Chitmet never records them.

If the connection drops, the call ends cleanly and you can reconnect or move on.

Voice chat, safely

You can mute, hang up, skip, report or block at any moment. Voice calls follow the same 18+ rules and moderation as text chat.

Can I make a random voice call without video?

Yes — that is all Chitmet does. Calls are audio only; the app never asks for camera access.

Are voice calls recorded?

No. Chitmet never records calls.

Do I need an account for voice calls?

No. Guests can make random voice calls too. Just allow the microphone when your browser asks.

Is Chitmet free?

Yes. Matching, text chat, voice calls, photos, voice notes, friends and history are free. An optional Premium plan only adds priority matching and higher limits — safety tools are never paid.

Is it safe to talk to strangers on Chitmet?

Every chat has Skip, Report and Block. Automated checks flag spam, scam links and flooding in real time, human moderators review reports, and you only share photos after the other person allows media. Chitmet is 18+ only.
