• Next — leave any conversation instantly. Nobody can follow you into the next one.
• Block — you will never be matched with that person again, on chat or voice.
• Report — during a conversation, or later from Recent Matches. Categories: Harassment, Sexual Content, Unwanted Media, Spam, Scam, Hate / Abuse, Threat, Underage User, Illegal Content, Impersonation, Other.
• Media permission — nobody can send you a photo, video or voice note until you allow it, and you can revoke it anytime.
• Mute — on voice calls, one tap.
• Privacy settings — hide your country, gender, bio, interests or online status; turn off friend requests, stranger messages, stranger calls and reconnecting.

None of these will ever be paid features.

• Your nickname is random and changeable. Don’t use your real name in it.
• Don’t share your phone number, address, workplace, school or social handles with someone you just met.
• Photos can contain location data; think before allowing or sending media.
• Use Keep in Touch instead of exchanging contact details — it only connects you if you both want it.

• Rate limits and flood protection stop mass messaging and bots.
• Duplicate-message and suspicious-link detection flag spam and scams.
• Device and session signals help stop banned people from coming straight back.
• Reported text conversations can be reviewed by moderators; every review is logged. Calls are never recorded.
• Repeated reports against the same person raise their risk score and priority for review.

End the conversation, block, and report. If someone threatens you or another person, or you believe a crime is being committed, contact your local emergency services first, then report to us so we can act on the account.

If you see content involving minors, report it immediately under “Underage User” or “Illegal Content”. We treat these reports as the highest priority.

Optional human verification is done by a trusted third-party provider; Chitmet never stores biometric data. Verified users get a small badge and can choose to match only with other verified users. Verification confirms a real person was checked — it does not reveal anyone’s identity to you.
