Terms of Service

You must be at least 18 years old. Chitmet is for adults only. If we learn that someone under 18 is using the service, we will end their access and may report the matter where the law requires it.

You may use Chitmet without an account (as a guest) or with an account. Either way, these terms apply.

Chitmet connects you with other people for anonymous text chat and one-to-one audio calls. Chitmet does not offer video calling and never asks for camera access. You may share photos, GIFs, short videos and voice notes inside a text chat only after the other person allows media.

The “Vibe Match” score shows how much two people’s selected preferences overlap. It is a convenience, not a scientific measurement or a promise about anyone.

You agree not to:

• harass, threaten, abuse or discriminate against anyone;
• send sexual content, or request it, without clear consent between adults — and never involving minors in any way;
• send media to someone who has not allowed it, or keep sending after they revoke permission;
• spam, advertise, scam, phish, or share malicious links or files;
• impersonate another person or Chitmet staff;
• record, screenshot and publish, or otherwise share private conversations without the other person’s consent;
• attempt to identify, track or contact another user outside the service against their wishes;
• interfere with the service, use bots or automation, or bypass rate limits, bans or safety features.

To keep people safe, trained moderators may review text conversations when they are reported, flagged by automated safety signals, or randomly sampled for quality assurance. Every such review is logged with the moderator’s identity, the time and the reason. See the Privacy Policy.

Audio calls are not recorded by Chitmet. Voice moderation relies on reports, behaviour signals, account history and call metadata.

We may warn you, disconnect a conversation, mute you, suspend you temporarily or ban you permanently for breaking these terms. Bans may apply to your account, guest session, device or network.

You own what you write and share. You give Chitmet a limited licence to store, transmit and display it as needed to run the service, moderate it and comply with the law. Media you share is stored privately and delivered through short-lived links.

Keep your password secret and tell us if you think your account has been accessed by someone else. You are responsible for activity on your account. We may remove usernames that are offensive, misleading or impersonate others.

Some optional features may require payment in the future. Reporting, blocking and core privacy and safety controls will never be paid features.

Chitmet is provided “as is”. You talk with strangers at your own discretion; we do not verify who anyone is unless they complete optional third-party verification, and even then we only know that a real person was checked — not their identity. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Chitmet is not liable for the conduct of users or for indirect or consequential losses.
